Archives

The archival holdings have been a central feature of the collecting interests of the Magnes since its inception. The intention was then, and remains today, to provide a wide-ranging approach to the Jewish experience in its many manifestations, through the art and ritual objects kept in the Museum collections, the rare books and manuscripts kept in the Library collections, and the personal and institutional records kept in the Archives.
